Pastor Randy DeMoville came to know Jesus Christ as his Saviour as a 12-year-old boy at the Faith Baptist Church of Wildomar, California, pastored by Dr. Bruce Goddard, a graduate of Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana. It was at Faith Baptist Church that Bro. DeMoville accepted God’s call to preach and surrendered to be a missionary. Following his pastor’s footsteps, he enrolled at Hyles-Anderson College in the fall of 1990 as a missions major.
It was at Hyles-Anderson College that our pastor met Kelly Ashby, whom he would marry in the summer of 1995. Upon graduation, Kelly taught second grade for two years at Hammond Baptist Grade School. She became a stay at home mother when their first child was born. Pastor and Mrs. DeMoville have seven children and are looked to by many as an example for rearing a family for God.
As a working, full-time college student, Pastor DeMoville faced several years of struggle. A missions trip in 1999 to the Philippines was a major turning point in his life. Several more missions trips to various countries gave him a greater burden that the world needed to hear the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. In his last semester at Hyles-Anderson College, though preparing to go to the Philippines as a missionary, God made it clear to Bro. DeMoville that he was to stay. This was made abundantly clear when his pastor, Dr. Jack Schaap, asked him to join the faculty of Hyles-Anderson College as a Bible and missions teacher.
For five and one-half years, our pastor taught Bible, Missions, Personal Evangelism, and other courses at his alma mater. He also served as the field director for Asia and the Pacific with Fundamental Baptist Missions International during this time. In the spring of 2009 Bro. DeMoville was asked to lead a team of families to the mission field. The target country was India. Through the providence of God a portion of that team staged in the Philippines while details continued to be worked on for a strategy to reach India.
In November of 2010 it was decided that the team of families led by Bro. DeMoville would form a new church in the Philippines. The city of Dumaguete was chosen as the place God would have a New Testament church started for the purpose of propagating the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor DeMoville, his family, and staff are excited the for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others through the teaching and preaching of the Word of God. We pray that you’ll come to know our pastor as your man of God and that you’ll be blessed by the truths from God’s Word that he shares each service and through personal Bible study and counselling. You will be loved by our pastor and his family as a member of International Baptist Church.
